Weddings

Arioso can play for the ceremony, the drinks reception, and the wedding breakfast. For the pre-ceremony music it is usually best to leave the choice to the quartet, so that they can judge the timings, but you may choose some pieces if you wish. You will notice that some pieces are suitable for both the entrance and the exit. We suggest the entrance music is bright, cheerful and lively whilst the piece during the signing of the register can be of a quieter nature if desired, but this is of course a matter of personal preference. Exit music can be lively and longer in length. This is often a good idea so that the piece can be played while all the guests leave the room.
The following is a list of pieces that do work well in civil ceremonies, civil partnerships and church weddings. Most of the pieces are popular choices although we have included some more unusual ones for those who would like something slightly different.
We would like to make you aware of the fact that any music played during a civil ceremony, and half an hour before or after the ceremony, is not legally permitted to be of a religious nature.
